A symbol of unity, Dataran Putra is designed to showcase the rich history of Malaysia, while letting visitors experience the enjoyment of being present in the moment.

Divided into 11 parts, the outer part of the boulevard garden is symbolic to the original Malay states that first achieved independence on 1957 with the 13 point stars in the middle representing the 13 states of Malaysia and 14 point stars with the fountain at the core represent the unity of Malaysia.
