JOIN TOURISM MALAYSIA’S “DIVE INTO THE UNIMAGINABLE – UNFOLD YOUR STORY” INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO CONTESTS

PUTRAJAYA, 9 June 2023 – In conjunction with the Malaysia International Dive Exhibition (MIDE), Tourism Malaysia is pleased to invite all photography and videography enthusiasts around the world to join its contests and stand a chance to win diving packages in Malaysia worth RM50,000.

This international diving photography and three-minute video contests are now open for submission until 25 August 2023. Participation is based on an individual basis, with a maximum of three entries allowed for each category.

Submitted recent photos or short videos must be original (2019 onwards) and shot or recorded at a diving location in Malaysian waters featuring only the country’s stunning marine life and coral reefs using action cameras or DSLR.

Dato’ Dr. Ammar Abd. Ghapar, Director-General of Tourism Malaysia, said: “From muck diving to wreck diving, Malaysia’s tropical islands offer rewarding world-class diving experiences with popular sites attracting both seasoned and budding divers and marine life aficionados.

Barracuda Point is well-known for its large school of barracuda, forming what has been dubbed the “barracuda tornado” – the spectacular sight for underwater photography amid clear blue waters.
