TERRAPURI – an architecture of a LOST KINGDOM

Terrapuri (The Land of Palaces) is a Terengganu Malay Classic House conservation and restoration project. It has 29 antique hundred-year-old classic mansions among its highlights. The resort’s design is based on the 17th-century Terengganu Palace and its surroundings. Terrapuri is made up of 20 luxuriously refurbished homes, a gallery, and a beach house.

Terrapuri is located on land that is bounded on one side by the South China Sea and on the other by a mangrove river (Setiu Wetland). By day, coconut palms sway in the sea winds, with breathtaking vistas of the islands of Pulau Perhentian, Lang Tengah, Pulau Cepu, Redang, and Bidong sparkling in emerald iridescence close offshore. Fireflies flicker around at night, while ocean-going green turtles and painted terrapins deposit their eggs on their own sandy coastlines in different seasons.
